Can I cut the Neon Flex to fit my space?

No. Unlike LIFX's outdoor Neon Flex, the indoor version isn't designed to be cut or shortened. Cutting the strip breaks the internal circuit and voids the warranty, so plan your layout around the fixed 6.5ft or 16ft lengths before you buy, or combine both to build a custom run.

Can I use this outside or in a bathroom?

No. Indoor Neon Flex isn't rated for moisture or dust exposure, so it's built strictly for dry indoor spaces like bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and gaming setups. If you want color and glow effects outdoors or in wet areas, LIFX's Outdoor Neon Flex is the weatherproof option.

How do I install it?

It comes with channel-clip mounts and a standard mains plug, so there's no wiring or electrician needed. Clip the channel to your wall, shelf, or frame, snap the strip in, and plug it into any outlet. It's designed for renters and homeowners alike since the mounts don't require permanent fixtures.

Do I need a hub or bridge to control it?

No. Indoor Neon Flex connects directly to your home's 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, so there's no separate hub or bridge to buy or manage. Set it up once in the LIFX app and you're running scenes, schedules, and colors straight from your phone or voice assistant.

What's the difference between the 6.5ft and 16ft versions?

The 6.5ft strip has 24 individually controllable zones and draws 30W, making it a good fit for smaller accents like a desk, headboard, or shelf. The 16ft strip steps up to 60 zones and 60W, giving you enough length and resolution to wrap a room, frame a wall, or run more elaborate color and motion effects across a bigger space.

What's the warranty on Indoor Neon Flex?

LIFX backs Indoor Neon Flex with a 2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal indoor use. Just remember that cutting or modifying the strip voids that coverage, so keep it in its original length to stay protected.
